Yes, trips like that are everyday work for us. A worker can walk or drive with you to the Broadway shops, take you to Northland in Preston for a bigger shop, or travel with you on the Mernda line from Reservoir station. If building independence is one of your goals, we do the shopping with you rather than for you.
Do you work alongside other services in Darebin?
Yes. Many Reservoir participants already have a support coordinator, a Local Area Coordinator, a day program or a community group they enjoy. We fit around what is already working and keep everyone informed, rather than asking you to rearrange your week to suit us.
